KINVER K9 CLUB

Is life a little hectic and you're finding there isn't enough hours in the day?

Do you need some help to ensure that your dog is getting the exercise, social interaction and enrichment that they need?

If so, we can help!

Kinver K9 Club runs Monday - Friday mornings,  9am - 11am and Wednesday & Thursday afternoons 1pm - 2pm

We allow a one hour window either side of session times for pick up and drop off of dogs in our fully customised dog van.

Our nearly 2 acre secure Exercise & Training Facility is set in the beautiful Kinver countryside.

Dogs enjoy playing, socialising, exercising or just exploring and relaxing at their own pace if they prefer. We have lots of open space, different areas to explore and fun apparatus to keep them entertained. Perfect for dogs who perhaps pull on the lead or have 'not so great' recall.

We try to veer away from the 'Free for all' mentality and offer structured sessions, in order to allow dogs to be both mentally and physically enriched before returning home happy and tired.

With our small dog to staff ratio, we are able to ensure that all dogs get some quality one to one time with us and we can focus on their individual needs, whether that be a game of fetch, fun scent work games or even a belly rub!

These are really great sessions for social dogs who enjoy the company of other canines.  Dogs thrive on routine, therefore we recommend that all dogs who join Kinver K9 Club enjoy at least one regular session with us each week, so that they know what to expect and when. This will reduce any feelings of anxiety, boost their confidence and prevent behavioural issues.

We offer a FREE Meet & Greet service prior to joining our sessions.

We offer a FREE Pick up & Drop off service for dogs in Kinver.

(Small additional charge for dogs outside the village)

Morning 2-hour session £16 per dog / per session

Afternoon 1-hour session £12.50 per dog / per session

Scent Detection

The Power of Nosework is Endless!

Scent Detection training has long been used all over the world for working, operational service dogs in fields such as Police, Rescue, Military and Wildlife Conservation. Using their amazing sense of smell, dogs are trained to search for specific target scents or odours in order to find illegal or dangerous items such as drugs, explosives or contraband.

In more recent years we have seen these incredible dogs used as medical alert dogs for those who suffer with life threatening health conditions and medical detection dogs to detect the smell of human diseases and save lives.

Here at The Don Dog Company, we appreciate how important it is to empower our dogs using their natural abilities and have always used scent work in the training of our own dogs, whether a pet, working or sport dog.

Did you know that just 10 minutes of scent work can be the equivalent of up to a one hour long run?

Suitable for dogs of any age, breed and activity level, the 6 week Bronze course for beginners will introduce you to the world of scent detection in our fun and engaging classes. They will provide both physical and mental exercise and promote calm, focused & positive thinking.

We will explore Scent ID (KONG), how to build a freeze indication and complete a variety of searches on pipes, chairs, bags, vehicles and novel environments.

Classes run for 1 hour each week

Bronze (Beginners) Course £100

Your course includes a starter scent kit, certificate of attendance and access to a private Whatsapp group which will enable you to ask questions between classes, regarding the exercises we have covered in class.

Upcoming Courses:

Friday 6th September @ 2pm (Week 1 of a six week course)

Saturday 12th October @ 10am (Week 1 of a six week course)
